Muscat. The first room.
The Forum’s founding chapter, convened in the Sultanate of Oman. The Muscat chapter is the room in which the standing rules of the Forum were first set, and it remains the editorial seat of the Council.
An anchor chapter for the GCC.
Muscat convenes the senior AI leadership of Oman’s enterprise, sovereign and governmental institutions, alongside Forum members travelling in from Riyadh, Doha, Dubai and Abu Dhabi for cross-GCC sessions. The chapter is intentionally smaller than the others, with no more than twelve members per session, and is the seat for setting Forum-wide editorial direction.
Sector mix
Sovereign wealth, energy transition, government modernisation, financial services, telecommunications, and the country’s emerging large-scale data infrastructure programmes.
Cadence
Four roundtables per year, plus the annual Forum convening held in Muscat each January. Founding members host one session per year.
The Muscat chapter convenes quarterly.
Founding members are invited by direct correspondence from the Secretariat. The chapter calendar is not published publicly.
